Description
Compiled by Rob Lawson. Soft cover, 268 pages. Published by The Christadelphian April 2017.
The title comes from both the Old Testament and the New Testament - Jeremiah 14:8, 17:13 and Acts 28:20. To understand the Bible's message for today you need to understand about Israel. In thinking about the Jewish nation in relation to the Gospel, many questions need answers. Why does God endure his love for a people who have rejected his Son for over 2,000 years? As believers in Christ what should we think about them? How did God bring about their return to the Land of Israel? Why did they need to return at all?
It is this same understanding that is printed on the cover of every monthly edition of "The Christadelphian" magazine.
In this compilation of Christadelphian writing over the last 170 years we see their answers have not changed, being based on the character and word of an unchanging God. Bro Robert Roberts wrote quite a lot of the first half of this book but there are many other respected names of former brethren from whom writings have been gathered.
Also included in this book are the words of politicians, campaigners and theologians who brought about the establishment of the State of Israel. Whether aware of it or not, they were being moved by the hand of God - a hand still working now on greater things to come.
The following Christadelphian authors wrote chapters contained in this book:
- Robert Roberts
- John Carter
