Description
Author: David M. Pearce, soft cover, 81 pages. Published by The Christadelphian June 2019.
The Judges Discussion Notes are designed to inform readers what is happening in the text and provide explanations to help understanding. It is not a book of unanswered questions aimed at provoking discussion, nor is it intended as a source of comprehensive answers to every possible question. The book covers all 21 chapters of the Judges and is suitable for use with any type of discussion group and for personal study. The commentary is mostly a verse at a time but in some occasions a small number of related verses are commented on together.
The Book of Judges provides a fascinating commentary on the period between the ministries of Moses and Joshua and the rule of Israel's Kings. It is the only time in human history when a nation was ruled directly by God and shows what happens when men and women are left to follow their own consciences. It leaves us with great examples to ponder, both good and bad.
